As the season ends after a great weekend at Clay just want to say a few thanks and congratulations.
Firstly congratulations to Welshy on title number two. Every inch the Champion, Steven let his driving do the talking for him on the track all season, and this weekend in particular. A lesson to all in dealing with the slings and arrows of outrageous driving fortunes, those drives to come back yesterday and win were from the top drawer. The 2013 Champion will have big shoes to fill on and off track.
Congratulations and adieu also to Jon Honeybun, if that was indeed your last drive Sir then it exemplified what you are all about on track, always hard but always fair. Your presence will me missed.
Unending thanks go to Martin for putting the show on, keeping us all smiling and relatively friendly and dealing with all the contending interests. Nobody does it better.
Similarly Thanks to Big Col for never ending enthusiasm and wise words, plus his benevolence in child minding Chris and Monty..
Personally thank you for all the help and encouragement to Simon, JJ and my team-mate Matt Duffett. Matt to my mind is the fastest and cleanest young driver in the Championship, his on track intelligence will take him far.
This Championship is full of great people, too many to list (you know who you are) but George and Keith stand out for me as they always keep a smile on their faces, often in the face of adversity.
If you want to race Prokarts at a real variety of excellent circuits, with people who race hard but enjoy the whole experience then Kartmania Honda Challenge 2013 is the place to be.
Finally thanks to Ian, Mike and all at Clay for a very good Cancer Charity race weekend, top fun and well run. Especially Ians pink mohecan..
