i may be barking up the wrong tree, but this all seems to be about trying to level the playing field a bit,but the suggestions all sounds like additional expense yet again for what most of us are running in fun/club events,i totally understand and agree that something has to change to bring the escalating costs of so called monster engines into line again. another suggestion that was discused with a few drivers at the last meeting i was at was to introduce a weight penalty to the biggest point scorer (like they do in touring cars)as your winning streak comes to an end the weight is gradually removed,a record of the last known weight would have to be recorded for the next meeting,so the advantage of investing in blue printed/sp/monster engines would be of a short lived advantage.this seems to me to be a more cost effective method of controlling the costs/advantage of sp,s etc and does away with the buy back systems that are being discussed.after all i,m sure we could all afford a few extra kilo,s of lead but not all of us can afford to splash out on buy backs and sp,s etc. i said earlier my suggestion could be way of the mark but it seems feasible to me. any thoughts?
