I wonder if introducing the new engine with its genuine out of the box performance is a really a bad thing ? I've always been put off joining the Honda grid as its supposed to be a budget class and maybe it is compared to Rotax but when people are spending Ł800 + to buy there way the front it kind of defeats the object. I total endorse Kelvin's comments regarding SP motors but if a true Ł400 engine class could be run it would surely be supported by those who cannot get the backing or finance to run SP's and a works chassis i.e the majority. Ban SP's in club and endurance racing and allow those to with them to race the Honda challenge as frankly without them there is no point entering.
