the president of the cik at the time was french.
He announced this, 5 or 6 companies started building 4 stroke motors.
Then the italians threw him out and put one of their own in charge.
Hey the 4 strokes are out and KF comes in instead!

Complete coincidense that the entire karting industry is italian building 2 strokes :)

The engines racing on the continent are the ones that were designed to take over from 100cc before they went kf. Same engines you can see running in Formula 6
