hi Lee, welcome to Honda!

Buy a standard engine from a dealer that knows the market and will provide you the correct model(for your regs), so it has the right diameter crankshaft and the latest spec engine. You will be going back for spares so pick a dealer you can get on with easily.

Mounting Honda Gx160 engines is usually decided by the diagonal tube that bridge the left and the right side rails and come close to the axle at the right hand side.

This diagonal can stop you mounting an 'inboard drive' engine on the right hand side of the chassis (looking from the rear).

Another constraint is the seat stay at the rh side of the chassis. The clutch can foul this stay as you adjust the engine/chain.

If you have the luxury of fitting the engine either side then great, but you normally have to make do with the designers choice or cut and weld to suit.
