As everyone who races at the Three Sisters knows, the drag strip that is the back straight sorts out the men from the boys – literally. Anyone carrying extra weight gets slaughtered by the lighter guys, even when carrying speed out of the corner.

It has been mentioned before about the big foot bin lids giving claimed advantages on lap times, but what do people reckon losing an extra kilo is worth? In other words, what effect does a beer belly have on the lap limes?
