-blasting rings from go does not make them any faster.

The Gx suffers from barrel distortion anyway so bringing it up to speed and generating heat by hammering the engine isn't the way to get a fast engine.

If we were talking about a single ring piston on a two stroke I would agree with very short running in procedures.


I am all for ultimate performance from any engine but hammering them makes me cringe...
