I agree 100% on the scrutineering thing yes If you cant win fairly dont race, those that knowingly cheat shout be named and shamed, but my only gripe is as (and I mean no disrespect to any of the scrutineers) most of us on here we have paid good money for our engines and me personally I am not so keen on them getting taken away and stripped , I would be happier if they were stripped in front of me and I would reassemble them straight away.

Fwiw I had a set of engines on my first prokart supplied by a well known engine builder and when I stripped them to rebuild them I found they had drilled side casings cut valve seal and oil ring was cut down! I rebuilt them legally and they went every bit as well they made 5.2 mean on the dyno.

I now run a pair of very healthy Rpm engines and I know the dyno figures of 5 people I test against most weeks at different circuits and they range from 5.15- 5.5 on the same dyno and even swapping drivers there is next to nothing between all of them.
