Now before I get started, I want to make it clear that I AM NOT whinging, just interested.

Looking through my lap times from last night there are one or two odd times. First lap is 2.02 which seems to be start lap + 2nd lap (is this normal?) and one other lap is exactly twice what a normal lap is (1.41). I had no major offs (couple of spins accounting for 10/20 secs max each) and have accounted for pit stops/fuel etc.

My question really is how reliable are transponders?

I'm not that bothered, as it's just fun, but when I eventually learn to drive losing a lap may start to be important.
