Thanks guys,
O.k i have removed the governor and have ordered the 18lb valve springs.
I know i am going to shorten the life of the engine now, but in terms of how long , can this be measured in hours, depending obviously on hour long you hold it on full revs for. I use Tilbury kart circuit in essex and will only be using this circuit. Its about 600m long and quite bendy, but does have a fairly longish straight which would mean full revs for a bit. At the moment i am on the throttle the whole way round the circuit, without letting off, so with the new increase in revs should i be dropping a couple of teeth on the rear sprocket too as i should be able to cary the speed through all parts of the circuit. I'm thinking this will help in not over revving the engine on the straight. I'm running a 20t on the engine and a 74 on the rear. I was thinking maybe a 70 or even a 68 on the rear and hoping that it wouldnt bog down too badly on the hairpin. All the rest of the bends can be more or less flat out.
Sorry to ramble, but any advice on this would be greatly accepted.
