Hi All,
I bought a bog standard Honda for my boy to get into karting and soon realised the performance wasn't up to scratch so I have done a bit of work on it to try and make it a bit faster. We don't race but my son does practice with others that do race but is getting wasted on the straights.
Initially, it would free rev (on the stand) to 5000; I have done a bit of work on it (lapping valves in, advancing the ignition timing, gapping the plug) and since tried the standard 70 jet, a 72 and a 75 and it will now rev to about 5700 but it surges at high revs no matter which jet is in - any ideas why please?
