the key to having fun with the Gx160 is to not throw too much money at it unecessarily.

If you are not racing then do you need top price oil with all the downsides of running minimum level to reduce friction and excessive changes due to carbon build up, apparently.

I suggest flushing out the engine with petrol, to prevent mixing oils, and using an everyday oil like GTX or any of the other top sellers.

The oil thickness and colour will tell you when it is worn out. Get some between finger and thumb to see if it is still working ok. If it feels thin change it.

Have cheap fun and spend your money on seat time and tyres.
