You are asking a question that's too wide to answer. It's a bit like asking: what will the weather be for the next 6 months.....

Your best bet is to understand your engine, first. Try to find Brian Pollards 'book' on the Honda engine. This page has some of the stuff:-

Also remember that most of the stuff on this site will be about 'performance to race'. Most modifications are banned in 'racing' and thus we may not be the best to ask.

Finally, I'd argue that you can get MUCH more power MUCH more cheaply from changing to an old 100cc kart engine and it thus becomes silly to spend lots of money 'tuning' a GX160. That view is NOT popular but..... I can defend it!
