Bob Pope was telling me just the other week that they originally tried the 200s on his initial pro-karts but they proved to be unreliable and shook themselves to bits. Thereafter they moved the fleet to 160s and the incident of failure was considerably less so it just stuck.

Juniors used to use a pair of 120s when I first started too then moved to 160s with some added gaskets.

Cadets have always been on the 160 for as long a I have been in the sport with a blend of sealing rules, the last of which almost killed the class.
