Much as I would love it to happen we will not get equalised gx160 motors unless everyone is prepared to pay the £xk that cadet dads are prepared to. There are SPs and then there are SPs and the current regulations allow this and the biggest motor will always attract the premium price.

I have said it before that the MSA could have easily introduced buy-back with the T2. Would this have stamped out the SP T2? probably not but it might make someone think twice about paying £xk for something that could be bought at the track the next week for £400 say.

No-one else seems to be that bothered that the T2 is a superior engine to the T1 the way that the current regulations are written and therefore valued at?. This isn't budget karting - So if you don't already have T2's you are not at the races.

I support the 200s. Do I have faith in RPM delivering equal engines? - Yes and more importantly their dyno becomes the barometer for all engines. Scrutineering is as simple as a dyno run (climate adjusted). Further, and as Bob has stated above, EPEC and Warden Law will have control motors that the officials can be requested to be used and so long as these remain maintained at the dyno reading this has to be fair.

Let the Cadet dads spend what they like - it is a far cry from a budget class now anyway - and chase an nano tenth on a dyno and give us back decent priced motors that have the benefit of being more equal than an out of the box motors!

Or the MSA grow a pair and write a set of regulations that will equalise the performance of all the current 160s - build to a fiche! But what would this do to costs?

Bob has embraced them and Bob is creator of prokarting! Still disagree with the weight difference albeit this fat lat would welcome it!
