28 drivers last Sunday seemed to know about it too and 14 were turned away due to lack of engines.
This is an RPM initiative to attempt to inject life back into prokarting and divorce the class from the stupid priced engines in Cadets. This has to be good thing.
Performance is equalised. Rog has confirmed the outputs to pretty close. I would imagine that both sale and hire will be involved (although emphasis on sale and why not at the initial price of £300 per motor with max price being set at £400. And buyback at £400 too. The bottom end is sealed and Rog had his mobile dyno at PF and was prepared to use it if anyone had any issue on engines - no-one did but then again the weather didn't allow for a decent run come the final.
There is loads of chatter on Facebook around this and I suppose the advertising rules on this site will prohibit promotion on here, however, Martin Capenhurst was at PF and an article is to be submitted to the new karting mag when.
