Hi deltay you can position it pretty much where you like but most seem to fit them either side of the fuel tank slightly behind it. and close too the centre cross rail that way the cable comes out the Alfano down the steering boss supports and is located at the back of the floor pan near the cross rail that your brake pipes run along it keeps the cable neat and tidy. Plus when you start to race your transponder is fixed to your seat at the back so they are as close together as you can possibly be I hope that helps
