Hi all,

I'm new to prokarts and need some advice on my Honda gx160s.

Firstly, I've noticed white smoke at idle when warm but when opened up it runs clear. My gut feel was oil overfill as when I unscrewed the dipstick, oil poured out (was on level ground) however the white smoke if due to this has yet to clear. I've also noticed the carb looks new, so questioned whether fuel had leaked into the oil at some stage as the oil looked rather grey in colour.

So I'm thinking oil change first before looking any further which leads me on to my next question oil grade. The previous owner used castrol power racing 10w 30 but could this be the problem as it seems that depending on who you speak to, I've heard anything between 0w20 - 15w 50!

I'm not intending to race, just a a couple of hours at my local track with a few tea breaks in-between!

Would appreciate your thoughts and experience
