Take your engines to an engine tuner. He will have a Dyno that will let him compare the performance of your engines againt others that he's produced. DO NOT take note of the NUMBERS of BHP that he gives you..... they are VERY unrelaible but DO compare the 'graph' of yours against another of his engines.

Having said all that, I'd still guess that most of the time loss is caused by how you leave the previous corner.
