Hi jon308. I think that you need to fully understand the basic construction and operation of this fantastic single cyl honda gx160 engine before you ask various questions on how to improve its performance. Your ques do not make any sense to me and i am a novice of only 12 yrs experience in building these engines and I measure every component using DTI, Vernier, micrometer, angle disc, feeler gauge and then still ask for the pro to build me an engine. If you intend to produce an engine to use in open racing events, then just re bore it to the max, port, skin the head with bigger valves, bolt a bigger carb and turbo charge it with a shot of NO2 every lap.
