i weren't gonna get into engines as it opens a whole other can of worms, but agree different engines suit different tracks and drivers.
gotta say must be a very strong engine to chase 6100rpm!!
one thing i did notice, generally with strong sp engines was if i wanted to get higher revs i would go down a tooth on the rear sprocket rather than go up. Dont know why this worked as it goes against logic but it always seemed to improve the lower and higher revs.
also sometimes we would use a clutch that would slip slightly, which kept the engine in a nice high rev/torgue band.
