Something does need to happen regarding the starts. The only winners are those who use other karts as their brakes and just force their way through.
I went before presentation as it looked like Dave had forgotten all about it! Speaking with other drivers during the day, another solution to the start would be similar to how F1 gets the race going after a safety car. ie everyone is up to speed in single file on the start finish straight and can't move from formation until crossing the start line. There is a marshall after South Bank that could signal when the line of karts can start to accelerate at the end of the warm up lap.
Dave did something very similar to this after a red flag last year and it went brilliantly.
Had this been the case on Sunday gone, my money would have been for Craig D to have had some race wins. He just got robbed at every start by gung-ho moves from drivers behind him.
