Hi Kat,
there were only 15 entries at the Honda Challenge . 3 of those came from the Isle of Man and so would not be potential entries. Steve welsh and Steve Lyall were the type of drivers who you would not wish to have until the grid had grown. so yes the honda Challenge happened on your weekend but should not have caused the "extreme" lack of entries.

As discussed previously North east based drivers are self conscious about putting themselves forward.
I think you need a register of "possibles" and cajole them personally to build the grid
