Depends what circuit your racing at? There is often no black and white, some days it may need to be tight, others slack, this is something you have to try.

Generally on a hot grippy track you want it loose,

On a cold low grip track you want it tight , or just nipped on the runners

Wet its often nipped tight but all three of these can be the complete oposite from circuit to circuit so TEST it!!!!!!!
