"On the junior 4/strokes class debate, why not use a full-blown senior prokart at a reduced weight for the kids coming out of cadets 12 to 16 year olds. If the kids want speed this will certainly give them it"
We race junior prokarts on the Isle of Man - senior prokart chassis, tyes etc, extra cylinder head gaskets in the GX160 engines to reduce the power a bit and a sensible weight limit.
Racing is every bit as exciting as the senior prokarts!! My 10-yr-old just moved from Honda cadets to Honda juniors, and he loves it.... was doing really well until a little collision sent him off in the final last week - dented bodywork on the kart and dented pride for the boy, nothing too serious!
He's desperate to race across in England as a junior (we did Rowrah as a cadet last August Bank Holiday and he wants to go there again!)... how about you Honda Challenge guys put in a good word for junior prokarting at your events and maybe some kids could borrow a prokart, put in the extra gaskets, and come to Rowrah for the Bank Holiday and help us to make up a grid of juniors there for the weekend!!
