How have you got the RPM cable connected? Is it using the spark plug loop clip? If so there is a better way... simply shorten the wire and put in with your power switch cable at the the front. The power switch has a rubber covered bullet connector at the front, we but the wire (stripped so the copper wire can conduct with the bullet connector) through the middle of the bullet and then fold it over down the side. So when you put the bullet back into the female connector the RPM wire is securely fitted. At the Alfano end of the cable, we just used the U shape connector, rather than 'jam it straight in' type hole. We found our Alfano read the revs accurately and responsively with these connections.

In regards to your Mag Strip (Lap Time Sensor), is that picking up? If not, make sure you've got your Mag Strip facing the correct way (bolt hole facing forward - cable running out the back) and its bolted to your floor tray. If you have the Mag strip bolted on one side, try swapping sides, as some circuits don't have strips in the circuit across the whole track. The material of the floor tray can cause issues, but I'd imagine you have the aluminium MS floor tray? Ours is the same floor tray and its always been ok for us. If you've got a kevlar or plastic then that be fine too as I've used other karts with Alfano's and the aforementioned floor trays and they've been fine.
