I personally dont mind if they do change to pool engines, but can you imagine how much sh** will hit the fan, when a pool engine hasnt been maintained and brakes down and cost you the championship? is that fair?
But in theory......some tyres are quicker than others so we have pool tyres. then pool engines as some engines are quicker than others. what if a chassis manufacturer develops a chassis that is 1 second faster than the others but is going to cost you £3000, do we then have pool chassis as the ones who cant afford this chassis are at a disadvantage, or make the driver sell his new kart for the same price as the cheaper slower kart? where does it stop? Everytime someone does something to make it equal, there will be someone else finding an advantage elsewhere. End of the day, motorsport is expensive and each year will get more so, its just the way it is.
