No actually, it makes no sense. The lightest guy that turns up with a V twin and the stickiest tyres wins (assuming he/she can half drive). MSA or not is irrelevant but what you have isn't a race but rather a run out. Don't get me wrong this has its place but unless you equalise the performance some how (weight/tyres etc) as has been successfully achieved in other series over the years (particularly in the US) in my opinion this isn't a race.
