Well, after Marcus getting so much stick about his rather poor bit of drivivg at Lydd last july,I feel i must report, He turned up today at Lydd and was a reformed character! he was nice to be around and helpfull, and from the start very fast!. Over the last couple of years, me (Graham king),Jason Thatcher,Mark Phee and Derek May have won all the races ( Les Partridge won one in feb 2010)but the way the track is now (clock wise) none of us got close to the times Marcus got down to! (new Lap record 44.11) Note, with the track the other way Derek holds the record at 44.10 ..But the track is faster anti clockwise, making Marcus's lap even more impressive. He also gave me some good set up tips, which got my lap times just below the lap record of Les's that Marcus had just beaten......On the way home from the track it came to me how he'd done it , Mark Phee must have sent over his Quantas airline engines i heard so much about!!!! It was a shame that Jason wasn't able to join in as his frame snaped in practice!!! Derek, he said something about asking for his money back? with my new set up tips, the final was close, i put in a slightly faster lap than Marcus as his tyres started to go off. But at the end of the day it was a fab day at Lydd, with some great racing, any of you havn't been there you should!!!!!!!!!!!!! thanx to all the marshalls etc. ............. One last thing to put right,.. is to end some of those threads we know about, i put some jokes down, James Clarke, pointed out to me that some of the karters on this site are a little young for those types of jokes, so sorry about that! but for those of you that are old enough, i hope you liked them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
