I've been reading this with some interest.

The question for me is, why would Adrian even want to be half never mind all of the things that people want him to be. What he does is give people an opportunity to race at one of the best facilities in the country, when really it is totally insignificant to PFi whether prokarts are there or not. Unless he had some unusual enthusiasm for prokarts alone, then I find it quite understandable that there isn't a regular scrutineer, the rules aren't as clear as they could be, and the whole thing could be interpreted as quite 'light-hearted'. For it to be more than this, it would need more dedicated people to see to these things. This would clearly either require volunteers who could always be relied upon, or people to be paid. If the money ain't there, then why bother? If the money is there, then there is a case.

I've always thought it pretty generous of circuit operators to give up their busiest corporate days (ie Sundays) so that us enthusiasts can 'play' on our karts. Circuits are literally haemorrhaging money when we are there and paying punters aren't. I suppose what I'm saying is that we are lucky to have the chance to race at PFi if we choose to. There may well be other places to go and race that maybe do offer a better complete package, but at the end of the day it can only be a good thing that the PF championship exists as it is rather than not at all.

Lots of suggestions as to what the PFi championship could and should be but not many suggestions as to how to achieve this. You've only got to look at the stick that Rob Spedding has had over the results all year long to think why would he bother anyway, he isn't getting anything out of it.

Still, there's nowt like sticking it down the inside of Mr Lyall into the first hairpin and then defending for the rest of the race ;-)
