I'm re-engining a small, 2-seat, 4-wheel buggy with a GX160 and can only get it to work (due to clearance problems) with the drive sprocket in the outboard position on the pto shaft.

I know it will put more load on the shaft and sidecover bearing but will it be a big problem ? (ie will it result in loads of trouble like shaft and bearing failures).
