Has anybody experimented with different clutch set ups? Tried a pro-kart clutch, for example? The reason I ask is that I don't really like the way the standard one needs about 4,000 rpm to engage, and leaves the kart "freewheeling" into slower bends while braking, making it pointless trying to feather the throttle. Does the engine bog down at less than 4,000 rpm...hence the high clutch engagement speed?
