Its not our fault that we were the only old gits team at Teesside......
We (Blue Lizard) built our team around the Masters class and had to turn away a paying, quick driver, and we managed with just three drivers - our ages are 44, 47 and 54, so I think we thoroughly deserved our trophy, especially since we finished 9th overall against many drivers less than half our ages.
We hoped that we would have some competition, but other teams decided to make up their numbers with younger drivers - we stuck with our regular team.
Its not our fault that no other team decided to enter as Masters, so please don't detract from what we, as a team, are very proud to have achieved.
