Eddy's comments ain't that helpful. seems to be the way on here for some folks that you mention world formula and everyone rolls their eyes. all kart engines have their weak spots but the early world formula engines weren't great making it hard for the class to grow in this country. the new engines are alot better and i say that from 3 years running the things.
my honest opinion on the rev limiter bit is derestricting them is the way to go but don't let the revs(right gearing) get over 7500rpm to be safe. i feel this is better than the engine bouncing off the limiter. my own engine was revving to 8000rpm on sunday but i usually keep it to around 7700rpm.

davec if you manage to build such a kart it should be fairly quick. what would you do with the exhausts though?
