Unfortunately I am not sure that equal engines would necessarily mean more competitors. We race TKM4t and would agree that the engines are very equal and in general very reliable (major rebuilds @80 hrs). At the TKM Festical last weekend there were 4 Juniors and 23/24 Seniors entered.
I don't understand why but I think the seal and the fact that Tal-ko are the only people who can do any work on the motors will have a large bearing on its relative unpopularity. That and the fact its a four stroke of course.
