My cadet son is running an old chassis made for a Comer but I have modified it to take a Honda. The problem with this is that the configuration of the chassis means that there is very little clearance between the sprocket and the chassis (about 15mm). This has restricted the sprocket size to a 62t but could probably go up to a 66t. Yes it is quite fast on the straights but he is losing time hand over fist in the corners. Ideally a larger back sprocket would give him this faster acceleration but would he see the same effect if the clutch sprocket was reduced to 16t (currently 20t)?
