Just to help you get your head around tyre pressures initially let me say;

1. you increase tyre pressures to produce a smaller contact patch which in turn heats the rubber up more to produce grip

2. you reduce tyre pressures to produce a larger contact patch which will make the rubber run cooler

The trick is getting the balance right..pump the tyres up too hard and they will get up to temp quickly then they will go off as they overheat, too soft and you will have trouble getting them up to temp in the first place.

I'll leave it to other pro-karters to give you more specific tyre pressures. Somebody will ask you what tyres you're running to.
