Curing them should narrow the gap between good and bad batches, in theory... Not sure that tyre sofner would, but I don't know exactly how it works.

I wouldn't beleive the marketing that they try to sell it with.

If it were legal, people would buy the stuff that gives the best performance. Which would probably be to the detriment of longevity and it will work best on new rubber, so the cycle of cheque book racing starts again. It just costs Ł20 more for set of tyres because you've got to paint some tyre sofner on them to compete.

Better spending time working out a method of curing the tyres effectively, spit roasting (how I giggle using that phrase) them in front of an electric heater would probably do the job. Just not sure what temperature you need to take them to and for how long and then not sure how long you need to leave them to cool, etc...
