It is unclear, what is happening at Honda Europe. The cupboard is bare of engines in virtually every version.
New supplies are expected in August. BUT nobody seems to know if this will be the UT1 in any form or only the new IGX type. It certainly seems that there are production problems but whether that is because of a complete change of tooling for the new engine or something else??????????
As far as the new engine is concerned, it is difficult to see how this could run with the old engine. Just higher compression alone will make it different, but with variable valve timing as well....... In theory the engine could be considerably quicker which might also cause a problem in cadets if it turns out to be quicker than the chainsaws.
