had this problem when using mikuni 40mm and delorto 36mm carbs on my ecomoto,the proper way to solve it without the return pipe and restrictor,is to fit a smaller needle valve and jet.no flooding ,no overflow and correct float height maintained.i think i have a 1.8mm fitted now.instead of the 3.4mm that is designed for gravity feed.
