Its simple really...
All teams / drivers want be in control of there own kit.
'Contol' engines were tried in the EKC when it was a national/msa series.
Everyone started complaining that this team had this and this team had that. And I for one was one of those against it when I saw it in reality.
It sounds great on paper, but in practical terms it just p@ssed eveyone off, so it was abandoned.

Maybe it could work if there was a pool of oober 5.6 motors to choose from... But then then logistics and cost for sourcing these motors are another ball park altogether.

Good luck to anyone who wants to try this route. I would support it if all engines were registered in the same way the 125 rotax was when I raced that class.
