You will probably find less engine wear than with cool power, especially in the cam journals and big end.

I'll leave you to find the best brand, but the carbon that builds though slower to form than cool power is smoother and more consistent over the chamber.

As for power, the differences in power are very temperature sensitive, so getting accurate figures on the dyno is difficult.

In race use, the impression we get is that in very high temperatures (25 degrees+) the thinner oils start to give less power. In these conditions we went back to Mobil 1 - 5w40
