This is my only opinion, but I think when you're looking at doing sprinting you ideally want to look at what class is most popular closest to you, or where you plan to race; as grid size is key for competition and longivity.

Prokarts are great for sprinting as they are great for endurance. My belief is that all karts are capable of being great sprinting machines amongst their own class, the thing that enables Pro Karts to run Endurance racing ASWELL is the reliability and ultra long life between services of a GX160 compared to that of a high performance 2 stroke.
