Fuel Tank - 3 Pipe Connectors?

Hi folks,

Wondering if you could shed some light on our new fuel tank, its a question of curiosity really.

If you copy and paste the below link into a new window you will see our new fuel tank:

You will see that we have 3 connectors for pipes; one for the fuel (plastic with black cap); one for the breather pipe/tank (plastic); and one for the ??? (metal).

Would anyone be able to fill in the blank for me?
