Yes, floor trays are made from aluminium or composite fibre (Glass, kevlar carbon) and I have seen one in heavy duty plastic.

Floortrays must fill the whole of the area from the seat forward to the front rail and also have 'wings' that go up to where the stub axle yokes are mounted. (ie, so you cannot get your foot accidentally caught)

If the floor tray has vertical edges they must stick upwards and not downwards like knifeblades.

The Blue book lays down the rules.
