aye i've never understood the 'can't afford msa racing bit'. at club level it's no more expensive than non-msa meets. scruntineering can be a pain at times but lets be honest it's only about safety(most of the time) and trying to ensure no-one is cheating. at times we also run with the rotax but not in the same championship. to do it ourselves we would only require at least 8 karts to compete each round.
