Consul of France, Napoleon Bonaparte spread the metric system and driving on the wrong side of the Road..

TIME

When the metric system was introduced it also applied to time in France. After the Revolutionaries chopped off the heads of the Royals they decided to get rid of the old 60 seconds per minute, 60 minutes per hour, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, and circa 52 weeks per year. They went to a decimal time system. This featured 100 seconds per minute, 100 minutes per hour, 10 hours per day, and 10 days in a week
