I've got some gx200 and gx160 spares, so I'm going to make a spare engine in case there is a problem with the other (open class)

I fitted a GX160 piston instead of a gx200 but it catches (in fact makes the cycle stop) on the crank. I'm compared the two pistons and the gx160 is longer than the gx200. So my question is if I got a flat top UT1 piston would I have the same problem?
