I prefer the inertia type:-

..... but DO think about SAFETY...... especially if you are gong to fit a braking system to it! Built carelessly and/or not being THOROUGHLY attached to a VERY stable floor, it has the potential to KILL you and those standing near...... and NOT so near!

Finally, why not try putting:

kart dynamometer
or
Kart5 dyno

into Google......
