..I have run both, and either is a big improvement over the honda carbs.
The tilly is good as you can fine tune the jetting as you run for max performance...BUT you have to reset the jetting every time to get it to start or idle .
The Mikuni ( Float bowl,round slide) is a better choice, cheaper and easier to fit with a simple throttle linkage. Once you sort out the correct jets and needle, it will run smooth and fast.
PS dont be tempted to go too big with the carb size. 22mm - 26 mm is about as big as you should go.
